The video
Ronan is relaxing on a park bench with a
stranger on his left. Unusual it may seem
but someone is trying to sell videos of 'Notting
Hill'!

This is probably one of
Ronan's most successful songs. This song was
sung specially for the film, 'Notting Hill' and is
a great cover version! A wonderful love
ballad played in wonderful piano and light
drums. The backing provides some great parts
to this song.
Ronan in this song is describing someone who
has the following features, 'A smile that knows
that they want him', 'A look in the eyes that they
need him', 'A touch of the hand to catch him when
he falls' and plainly put best 'When They Say
Nothing At All'! It is simply a rewritten of
the chorus but it all seems obvious (sometimes you
think if a review for this is really needed!).
However, in our own words, the songs describes
that special someone who stands out from everyone
else and is someone like no other. They have
the ability to, in Ronan's words, 'drown out the
crowd'. They care, they like and appear to
notice and have in a nice positive way found that
someone for them. They don't need to say it,
their feelings and expressions show it all.
You've heard the saying 'A picture paints a
thousand words' well take that person as your
picture and you'll see how.
The nice instrumental part where we hear
accordion and flute provide that much needed
flavour to the song.
In essence, it is simply a love song - simply
put. It remains a classic to the many that
have heard it! |
